VA form 22-1990
Please follow the step by step instructions to get started:
1. Download and print the VA Form 22-1990.
2. Complete the form and mail it to Southeast Lineman Training Center , 9481 Hwy. 11, Trenton GA 30752.
3. An SLTC VA representative will complete an additional form and mail both to the VA office in Atlanta , GA.
5. Veterans will receive a letter notifying them of the amount the VA will pay per month while enrolled in school.
6. It will take approximately 8 weeks for the VA to verify forms and get the veteran in the system.
Our Electrical program is approximately 4 months in length and the VA can only pay a maximum amount per month. Since the G.I. Bill does not cover the complete cost of the program veterans can take out a student loan if they need to. The student loan documents are available on the top of this page.
The VA has another program called the Apprenticeship/On-the-job Training Program, which will pay veterans once veterans are employed in the line work industry. So, even though the VA will not pay for the complete training cost while veterans are actually attending school they will eventually pay veterans back.
